Photography — as an art form, a communication tool and a record of history —has made an undeniable impression on our culture. By investigating the emergence of the medium in the 19th century and its evolution into the early 20th century, students learn how expressive and commercial photography has transformed and expanded over time. Prerequisite(s): ARTH 110.
